Grief is an arduous journey to navigate, and ANW would like to offer care and support through this difficult process. This panel, hosted by Kirsten Howard (Demeter) and key members of ANW staff, is catered to learning about and releasing grief, as well as remembering those who have gone before us.

About your host:
Kirsten Howard (Demeter) is well acquainted with grief. She lost her daughter in 2015 to a distracted driver, a tragedy that completely changed the trajectory of her life. Now, she shares her story to help others “flip the script” on depression and self-medication, turning grief into a productive process of healing.

Demeter’s testimony has been featured on KOMO4 news, and she is often invited to speak at local community events. She is currently offering "Healing Hearts: Navigating Grief Together," a monthly peer support group in partnership with Raise for Rowyn and Dignity Mills & Mills. She and her son Lakota manage the Morgan Cope Legacy Scholarship. Demeter is a proud ANW Ultra Sponsor and is grateful to be a panelist again this year.
