About your host: Kirsten Howard (Demeter) is well acquainted with grief. She lost her daughter in 2015 to a distracted driver, a tragedy that completely changed the trajectory of her life. Now, she shares her story to help others “flip the script” on depression and self-medication, turning grief into a productive process of healing.
Demeter’s testimony has been featured on KOMO4 news, and she is often invited to speak at local community events. She is currently offering "Healing Hearts: Navigating Grief Together," a monthly peer support group in partnership with Raise for Rowyn and Dignity Mills & Mills.
